Aljaz Bedene joined fellow Britons Kyle Edmund and Dan Evans in the main draw for the Miami Open after coming through qualifying with a 6-2 6-3 victory over Tobias Kamke of Germany.
Bedene, ranked 94 in the world, had earlier defeated Italy's Federico Gaio in straight sets to earn a shot at the tournament proper.
The 27-year-old forced two early breaks in the opening set against Kamke before moving into a 5-0 lead.
However, the German world No 155, recovered to force a break of his own at 2-5, but could not sustain the momentum as Bedene closed out the first set in 35 minutes.
