The story of Indian Wells

After a memorable week in the Calfornian desert, we have picked out five of the best points from Indian Wells and the opening Masters event of the year.

Roger Federer claimed the title, reaffirming his return to the very top of the game, but there was plenty of other entertainment on offer at Indian Wells in both the singles and doubles events.

5. STAN WAWRINKA v Roger Federer

The Indian Wells final was full of quality and this short exchange was no different, with the pair exchanging lobs before Stan wheels out a serve-like smash to claim the point.

4. ADRIAN MANNARINO v Juan Monaco

Despite a slow start this 32-shot rally was one of the points of the week, trading exchanges from the back of the court before a couple of dinky efforts lead to Monaco's diving shot which leaves Mannarino with the easy cross-court winner

3. NICK KYRGIOS v Alexander Zverev

Two of the ATP's brightest prospects went head to head in the third round and it was Kyrgios who emerged victorious from the match and this entertaining exchange that features the first of our hot dogs.

2. BRUNO SOARES/Jamie Murray v Lukasz Kubot/Marcelo Melo

We head to the doubles semi-finals for No 2 on our list and Murray and Soares are on the back foot. Soares returns with a twisting, instinctive, no-looker that yields the point.

The clip went viral so there's no prizes for guessing our No 1, Juan Martin del Potro and THAT hot-dog lob
