Andy Murray’s charge towards world No 1 status will be threatened by a long-term rival, Tomas Berdych, on Friday.
You __can watch Murray play Berdych in the Paris Masters quarter-final from 6.30pm, live on Sky Sports 3 HD, although the tournament is on Sky Sports 1 HD from 1pm until then.
Murray is chasing down Novak Djokovic's ATP points tally in an effort to usurp him as the world's highest ranked player and could complete the job this week - he needs to lift the trophy on Sunday and hope the Serb loses by the semi-finals.
In Murray's immediate path is Berdych, the seventh seed, with whom he shares a fraught history. Their Australian Open 2015 semi-final was the peak - Murray's ex-coach Dani Vallverdu was now in the opposite corner, and the Brit's then-fiance Kim Sears courted controversy for allegedly cursing at Berdych.
On the court, their rivalry is far from one-sided - Murray owns a 9-6 head-to-head record that includes a semi-final victory at last summer's Wimbledon, which he went on to win.
Elsewhere on Friday, Djokovic keeps the defence on his world No 1 status alive against ninth seed Marin Cilic. Milos Raonic takes on Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
Watch the Paris Masters from 1pm on Sky Sports 1 HD, then from 6.30pm on Sky Sports 3 HD (including Murray v Berdych). Or watch the rest of the tournament for just £10.99, without a contract, on NOW TV.
