Viktorija Golubic was handed a place in the final of the Generali Ladies tournament after Madison Keys pulled out of Saturday's semi-final due to illness.
American Keys, who was seeded third in Linz, was suffering from a cold, according to tournament organisers in Austria and Golubic was given a walkover-victory as a result.
World No 62 Golubic of Switzerland will now face Slovakian second seed Dominika Cibulkova, who defeated Carla Suarez Navarro of Spain 6-4 6-3, in Sunday's final.
It will be Golubic's second career final after she won the WTA event in Gstaad in July.

Cibulkova will be playing in her sixth final of the season after winning titles in Katowice in April and Eastbourne in June.
She is ninth in the race to the season-ending WTA Finals, with two of the eight spots still open.
World No 10 Cibulkova, who has not previously played Golubic, won the first seven points against Suarez Navarro and took a 2-0 lead against the 12th-ranked Suarez Navarro, but neither player managed to hold serve for the rest of the opening set.
Suarez Navarro, who was playing in her fourth semi-final of the season, used a break to go 2-1 up in the second set before losing four games in a row.
Cibulkova missed three match points before closing out the win as Suarez Navarro hit a forehand wide.
